Deezer
RestrictedAI music policy · Platform
Deezer detects and tags fully AI-generated tracks (mandatory, at album level) and excludes them from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists. Normal royalties continue, but fraudulent streams are removed. Since July 2026 Deezer says it will take down AI tracks used for streaming fraud and those not streamed for 6+ months. Some distributors (LANDR) currently don't deliver AI music to Deezer.
Key rules
- Automatic AI detection and mandatory tagging
- AI tracks excluded from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists
- Takedown of AI tracks used for fraud or unstreamed for 6+ months (announced Jul 2026)
- Appeals go through your distributor first
Ambient, meditation & sleep notes
Deezer also labels 'noise content' and may remove albums of repetitive versions (per CD Baby's guidance) — dormant ambient catalogues are at risk.
